KSEE - 14. og 15. juni

Kongsberg Systems Engineering Event (KSEE) arrangeres i år for sjette gang. Arrangementet går av stabelen 14. og 15. juni på HiBu. Dr. Brian Sauser fra Stevens Institute er en av foredragsholderne.

The theme of this year event is “How to connect breadth and depth”:
“Systems engineering connects the broad world of business and life cycle to the deep world of technology and engineering. Systems engineers need breadth knowledge, for instance on the operational aspects of the business or of the system, and depth knowledge of critical technology details. Systems engineering is a continuous balancing act to connect these two different worlds.”

The first speaker has already committed:  Brian Sauser, assistant professor at Stevens Institute, and co-author of the book “Systems Thinking: Coping with 21st Century Problems”

The 2011 event was very successful. The feedback from the participants on the program and the speakers was very positive (4 average on a scale from 1 to 5), and the feedback on the conference as a whole scored 4.3 on the same scale.The program of the event is determined by an organization committee existing of about 6 people from different companies in to ensure that the program is attractive for the member companies.

We plan to have 8 presentations:
• 2 international key note speakers
• 3 presentations from local industry
• 1 presentation by an industry master student
• 1 presentation from another Norwegian Center of Excellence with interest in Systems Engineering
• 1 presentation by HiBu staff
